Once upon a time, there was a gentle royal named Prince Elian. Prince Elian possessed something truly magical—not a sword, nor a crown, but a library. This wasn't just any library; it held books from every corner of the globe, and best of all, it could fly! whenever Prince Elian steered his library across the sky, children below would gaze up in wonder, dreaming that one day they might step inside.
One afternoon, Prince Elian steered his library to a humble place called Rainbow Valley. The people there were very poor, and the children had never seen a real book because their families could not afford them. As Prince Elian looked down at these children, his heart ached.
He lowered the library’s long, wooden staircase and looked at the children with a warm smile. "Hello, my friends," he said. "This library holds countless stories and secrets. Would you like to come inside and take a look?"
"Can we really?" a small boy asked timidly, peeking out from behind a fence.
"Of course you can!" Prince Elian nodded encouragingly.
The children scampered up the stairs, their eyes wide with wonder as they looked at the shelves filled with colorful bindings. They turned the pages with great care, acting as if every page held a brand-new world waiting to be discovered.
"This book is all about the stars!" a little girl gasped in delight.
"And this one is about animals!" another boy shouted, waving a green book in the air.
Watching their smiles, Prince Elian felt a deep sense of peace. He decided to leave a large collection of books for the local school and families so that every child in Rainbow Valley could learn to read.
"Thank you, Prince Elian!" the children shouted in unison, their eyes sparkling with gratitude.
With a wave and a smile, Prince Elian took off, steering the library toward his next destination. He traveled to a dozen different lands, and everywhere he went, he invited children inside and gifted them books. Their laughter became his most treasured memory.
However, when Prince Elian arrived at a place called the Kingdom of Mooncrag, things took a dark turn.
King Roderick of Mooncrag had heard rumors of the flying library, and greed grew in his heart. He pretended to be kind, inviting Prince Elian into his palace for a feast, but he was secretly plotting a trap.
King Roderick put on a fake smile and said, "This library is simply too magnificent. Why don't you leave it here, so my people can enjoy this gift forever?"
Prince Elian frowned. "I cannot do that, Your Majesty. This library was built so that children all over the world could experience the joy of reading. I cannot keep it in just one place."
King Roderick’s face instantly darkened. "If you won't give it to me, I’ll just have to take it!"
He snapped his fingers, and his guards rushed forward, seizing Prince Elian and capturing the Flying Library. They threw the poor prince into a cold, dim dungeon.
"You can’t do this!" Prince Elian shouted through the bars. "That library belongs to the children!"
King Roderick just laughed coldly. "It belongs to me now."
But King Roderick’s wicked deed did not stay a secret for long. News spread across the world that the kind Prince Elian had been imprisoned. People everywhere were furious. They decided to band together to save him.
A massive crowd gathered from all directions, marching toward the Kingdom of Mooncrag until they had the palace completely surrounded.
When King Roderick’s army saw the sheer number of people united against them, they were too frightened to fight and ran away. The people stormed the palace, freed Prince Elian, and locked the greedy King Roderick in the very same dungeon he had used on the prince.
"Thank you, everyone!" Prince Elian said, dusting off his clothes.
A child from Rainbow Valley stepped forward and smiled. "You gave us the chance to read and dream. Of course we would come to protect you!"
Prince Elian fired up the engines of his library once more. He continued his journey, carrying books to every corner of the earth, ensuring that children everywhere could touch the treasure of knowledge.
From that day on, Prince Elian’s library became the most beautiful dream in the hearts of children. Whenever they looked up at the clouds, they would wait with hope, looking for that magical flying building to appear, bringing with it new stories and new dreams.
